The issue I ran into in this situation was that the comp ran out of room to tighten down on the barrel threads because it was making contact with the face of the rail. Thankfully the comp necks down a bit to meet the barrel threads. Even though the rail has an advertised length of 7″ it’s technically 7.54″ accounting for the barrel nut, so the rail extends past the barrel threads by just a bit.

In this instance I’m using a 7.5″ barrel, a 7″ UTG Pro Super Slim Free Float rail, and the SI CCC.
